The only other figure in this collection that does not have internal framework, and did not at any point, is Powerful Reminiscence, the one made of circular tubes. This piece looks as if it is metal due to its surface treatment but is actually fabricated from cardboard shipping tubes. I decided to use this material because of its structural capabilities interwoven with it being a lightweight material. I knew I wanted to create a figure using circles and the cardboard tubes allowed me to do so without the end product weighing as much as two hundred pounds. The false impression of weight has significance because if you saw me at work or moving about, majority of the time, you would not know that I have had serious injuries that changed the course of my life or that I am considered one of the heavy lifters around the shop. The figure is placed with its arms in a traditional ballet pose, but its feet are pointing straight forward, this was done to show the reminiscence of dance with the power of being ready to move forward.
