The lightest hanging figure, Capable Commemoration, was sculpted using old plastic bags and drop cloths to create the internal structure that is suspended and then covered in a sheet of fabric, originally a couple bedsheets from Goodwill. Using pins, I attached the sheet to the figure beneath to reveal the curvature of the legs and arms before suspending the figure. After that I attached the hands and feet by sewing them with dental floss to a standard climbing rope, the figure and the rope are being suspended from wire, that was twisted by hand, hung from a chain that was previously installed in the cinderblock ceiling.
